Don't get us wrong, we think a diverse diet is swell but when it comes to menu items like chocolate shakes don't try and sneak us almond milk or natural sugar replacements, we want the real thing. We want that true blue diner experience. It all started when they go rid of the car hop. Sure, drive-throughs are so much easier and season friendly, you don't even have to interact with a human being. Now, with the loss of those friendly servers be they on roller skates or in sneakers we lost the soul in our meat patties with cheese, we lost the spirit of the classic fifties dining experience.
