Design & Details
The costume includes a long brown colonial coat with an attached tan vest front, finished with black buttons and sewn-in white ruffled cuffs at the sleeves. Underneath, a separate white shirt front fits comfortably beneath the coat for that layered 1700s look, minus the laundry struggle.
The black knicker-style pants feature an elastic waistband for ease of movement, especially when you're pacing while pondering the virtues of electricity. The wig brings it all home with grey synthetic hair and a shiny bald spot on top—styled to match a certain Founding Father who definitely knew his way around a printing press.
